Herman has spent the over 30 years pioneering International Business expansion for US companies. Herman was educated in Germany and began his professional career at the General Electric Company in 1962. He held various positions in International Management and Marketing in various place around the world. In 1984, Mr. Metzler joined Exide Electronics as Vice President, International Operations. He was responsible for all international business activity including Joint Ventures, Technology Licensing Agreements and Acquisitions and Operations. He is a long time member of the US Department of Commerce “District Export Council�, the World Trade Center of North Carolina and a frequent speaker at various North Carolina business and academic meetings. He is a member of the Asheville SCORE Chapter - High Country Branch and the Raleigh SCORE Chapters.
